Being a painter as a learned profession, what color is your new black?

Black is great. All other colors can play off of it.

Do you treat every frame like a painter or do you apply your own rules of composition?

There are no rules in composition. A picture without emotion is just a picture. If the composition conveys emotions, then it’s gold to me.

You are a highlander. Would you like to do a remake of Silence of the lambs?

I haven’t had much to do with lambs, but thrillers certainly resonate with me.

What CGI effects would you add to your everyday life?

People are more important to me than computers. I prefer having more of them in my daily life. They can surprise me like CGI tools.
